Branding and logo design for WWF and Vancouver Aquarium's Great Canadian Shoreline Clean Up initiative

 

Logo exploration for the Great Canadian Shoreline Cleanup, a WWF/Vancouver Aquarium initiative that educates the public on shoreline litter issues, encourages participation in organized cleanups and promotes engagement with nature.

 
 
 Referencing a seal of approval, this concept presents a logo variation for each category of species affected. The infinity notion speaks to the on-going 'reduce re-use recycle' process.

Referencing the iconic 'SOS' cross symbol, this concept speaks to the urgency of the shoreline initiative with simple use of pattern and colour. Bold and slightly rounded type strike a balance between friendly and empowering.

In a simple and graphic format, this concept references the five main layers (or "zones") of the ocean, speaking to the importance of healthy waterworks in a fully transparent manner.
