Cuff & Collar Branding

Brand Creation and concept, naming, art direction, creative direction, identity design, stationery, collateral and retail design for Cuff & Collar, a modern tailoring and alterations shop in Toronto.

A new name and identity system for Cuff & Collar, a family-run tailoring shop. In an attempt to restore value to a seemingly obsolete skill and service, the new brand is functional and accessible.

A strong and versatile graphic language was produced to be used across a variety of applications—from hangers to hang-tags. The design is contemporary while maintaining the sense of tradition which was inherent in the original family business, established 30 years prior.

The colour palette was pulled from objects found in the existing shop. It is inspired by tools of the trade... big spools of thread, bright zippers and colourful fabrics. The colours are vibrant and youthful, with a vintage feel.
